A Nossa História

Day 8: Celebrating Connections ✨ On Day 8, the final day of this project, we began our farewell activities, bringing this incredible journey to a close. We completed a questionnaire to evaluate all the activities we took part in, as well as the amazing staff who guided us throughout the project. We had lunch outside the accommodation, and afterwards we gathered for the closing activities. It was an emotional and heartfelt moment that reminded us of how meaningful this experience had been for everyone involved and the lasting impact it left on all of us. After sharing those special moments together, we enjoyed some free time and made the most of it by heading to the beach one last time, appreciating the beautiful meeting of the sea and the river that Viana do Castelo has to offer. Not long after, the Erasmus contest began, and the families were ready to compete for first place in a series of fun and unforgettable games. In the end, the Erasmus family "Bicerbija" claimed a narrow victory over "Blue Motto Motto", winning by just 5 points. And so, this unforgettable journey came to an end—with emotion, friendship, competition, and countless memories that we will carry with us long after the project is over. ❤️ "Beyond Barriers: Everyone Is Seen" — Youth Exchange 🇵🇹 Hosted by Associação Juvenil de Deão Partners: 🇪🇸 @cazalla_intercultural 🇬🇷 @usb_ngo 🇨🇵 @pistes.solidaires 📸 Video by Diogo and Maxime, interns from Escola Secondária de Monserrate Co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme 🇪🇺
Day 7: Sharing and Caring ✨ Today, we spent a meaningful day with members of ACAPO, the Portuguese Association for the Blind and Partially Sighted. In preparation for this experience, we took part in several activities that helped us better understand inclusion and accessibility. Together, we danced, painted, shared conversations, and enjoyed time at the beach. It was a truly enriching experience that strengthened our empathy, teamwork, and appreciation for different perspectives. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and create unforgettable memories together. Day 6: Municipality Engagement ✨ Today we had the opportunity to get to know Viana do Castelo a little better. A heartfelt thank you to the local council for their warm welcome and hospitality. It’s clear how much the people of Viana care about and take pride in their town. We hope the former slaughterhouse project will be transformed into a vibrant space for experiences, creativity, and community. We end the day with portuguese intercultural night and by watching together the match Portugal-Spain. Day 5: Refresh & Recharge ✨ On Day 5, we started preparing and presenting activities for visually impaired people with our companions before all the groups headed by boat to Viana. There, we walked to a restaurant and enjoyed handmade hamburgers with fries. The meal gave us the energy to explore the city, buy souvenirs, and take the elevator up to the Church of Santa Luzia, where we admired breathtaking views and even spotted planes from the Portuguese Air Force. During our free time, some of us went to the beach, while others explored Porto or simply relaxed at the hostel. Later, each group went out for dinner at a local restaurant, enjoying good food and great company. In a nutshell, today was about preparing ourselves for Tuesday's challenge while appreciating Portugal's rich culture, delicious food, and warm hospitality. Day 4: Surf & Reflections ✨ If we had to describe this day in two words, it would be: adrenaline rush. 🌊🏄♂️ We spent the whole morning surfing at Amorosa Beach, with @acrobaticwaveschool and letting the waves guide our souls. After lunch, we came together to discuss and brainstorm the activities we'll be leading with People with Visual Impairments (PVI) on Day 7. To end the day, the Spanish team hosted their dinner and intercultural night, sharing delicious food, traditions, and great energy with everyone. The conclusion? Today was pure fun! 💙 "Beyond Barriers: Everyone is Seen" – Youth Exchange 🇵🇹 Hosted by Associação Juvenil de Deão Partners: 🇪🇸 @cazalla_intercultural 🇬🇷 @usb_ngo 🇫🇷 @pistes.solidaires 📸 Video by Diogo and Maxime, interns from Escola Secundária de Monserrate Co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme 🇪🇺
